The Art of Thai traditional goldwork embroidery, called ‘Phattharaphon’. For centuries, the
intricate needle-work made by sewing patterns on fabric with shiny gold/ metal thread, sequin,
beads, gems stones, has been the hallmark of fine apparel and ornaments worn by the noble
class. It is also used to decorate ceremonial fans used by monks and KHON theatrical costumes.
